The Friendly Flyer: Week of the Young Child

We have had a fun-filled week celebrating the Week of the Young Child! Music Monday kicked off our week with the Learning Station field trip. We had a great time singing and dancing with all of our Child Development friends! For Tasty Tuesday, we made pancakes and patterns. We made silver dollar pancakes and each child cut up their own strawberries and bananas. We had fun making patterns with our food but especially enjoyed eating everything at the end!! For Work Together Wednesday, everyone helped during our interactive story Let's Play. Each student had two turns to help make our story come to life. We also read Swimmy and talked about how Swimmy and his friends worked together. Our friends came up with many ideas on how we can work together as a class. On Artsy Thursday we had to use our Lifeskill of Flexibility! Our outdoor art project had to be moved outside because the wind was turning our paper into a kite! We all worked together on two seperate paintings to hang up in our classroom. And today for Family Friday we talked about families and journaled about our family members.
