We had a really great time learning all about balls! We learned about which balls roll and bounce, what's inside of balls, and all participated in inflating a basketball. The last day of our study was the 100th day of school. We decided to count the balls in our classroom to see if we had 100 balls. We counted all the way to 100 and actually had more than 100 balls!
This week we started our Pets Study. We will learn all about pets and animals and may even have some special visitors. So far, we have learned about animals who perch and paddle, we learned about clawed and webbed feet, and today we talked about parrots and the rainforest. We will talk about words such as wild and domesticated and figure out which animals make good pets.
Please check out our calendar for upcoming events. Next week is Valentine's Day. Please check your child's folder with information regarding our class picture that morning and information about sending cards to share with friends. Also, starting next week, we will have Parent/Teacher Conferences. Be on the lookout this afternoon for a Sign-up Genius email with available time slots.
Parents, thank you for your help with the Domino's Slice the Price fundraiser! Half of the money for each card will go back to the Center for Child Development!
Thanks for all that you do! Have a great week!!
