Thank You, Veterans!

  Welcome Friendly Firefly Families!

We enjoyed learning about Veterans yesterday and watching the Bookman Road Veteran's Day slideshow.  We were super excited when we saw some of the Friendly Firefly parents who are in the military!  Thank you so much for your service and for keeping us safe!!  

We also really enjoyed visiting with the firefighters who came to Bookman Road today.  It was really fun seeing all of their equipment, fire truck, and super tall ladder!  Take a look at some of our pictures below 😊.

If you ordered from our Original Works fundraiser, we are expecting the orders next week.  I will send out an email on the day that they are sent home. 

Also next week, we will begin our World of Wonders Unit 4: Food.  We will continue our work with shapes, learn about letter Oo, and introduce or high frequency word, "my".

 Welcome Friendly Firefly Families!

We are wrapping up a very busy and productive week!  We have just finished our first Module of our Eureka math curriculum, we learned about letter Nn, introduced the high frequency word "are", created "flip my feelings" sticks that went home in the Thursday folders, and learned about nocturnal animals.  We will be beginning our second math module on Monday  starting with 2D shapes focusing on the attributes of the shapes. We will also be working on letter Cc and reviewing our high frequency word "are". During our Content time, next week, we will still be working on our Feeling Buddy lessons and we will also discuss Day & Night.
